Staff Bios

John I. Green (Chairman of the Board)

Mr. Green has been leading the way at The Lee Company since 1956. Mr. Green, his wife Mariuse and daughter Beverly moved to Stillwater in 1956. After a 3 1/2 hour drive from Ada, OK, Mr. Green arrived on January 16, 1956, and reported for duty at 7:00 am, a date and time he still remembers some 55 years later. Throughout his years of service to the Stillwater community, he has been active in: Kiwanis Club, Jaycee's, Downtown Stillwater Unlimited, Stillwater Library Board, 1st United Methodist Church Trustee and board member, Stillwater Industrial Foundation, Andersen Distributor Advisory Council. He was also named Stillwater Businessman of the Year 1986.

J. Steven Green (President-General Manager)

Steve grew up involved in the family business. He joined the business full time in 1982 and has served in a variety of roles for the company, from the service department, wholesale and retail sales, purchasing, manufacturing and residential sales. Steve currently serves as President and General Manager for the company. Steve’s specialty is the Andersen product line, with extensive training in their Dealer Service Network, quoting process, and, recently, the Architectural Folding door line. Steve is also a certified AAMA Installation Master installer. Since his tenure with The Lee Company, he has trained with virtually every product the company offers. In the community, Steve was a board member for Downtown Stillwater Unlimited and is currently the Chairman for Downtown Stillwater (Business Improvement District #1). He is also a graduate of Leadership Stillwater, Class XX. Steve enjoys hunting, shooting and woodworking when he has the opportunity. He and his wife, Sonya, have one son, Seth. Sonya is a Stillwater native and is a registered nurse and enjoys gardening and serving as an Ambassador for Oklahoma Gardening. Steve, Sonya and Seth attend Countryside Baptist Church in Stillwater.

John "JT" Thompson (Commercial Manager)

Although John hails from Pennsylvania, he and his family have called Stillwater home for over a decade, and John has been with The Lee Company for most of that time. He came to us as an installer but rapidly moved to the position of Commercial Manager. Prior to joining The Lee Company, he studied at Liberty University in Virginia. He continually seeks to gain knowledge by participating in industry specific training; he is an EPA Certified Lead Renovator, AADM Certified Automatic Entry Inspector, and a Trained Mechanic for Record Automatic. As well as being active with golf, softball and working with college students, John is active in his home church, Hillcrest Baptist, with his wife Samantha and two boys, Jaxton and Asa. He enjoys seeing projects come to completion and being able to look back at what the crew has accomplished. His years of experience and the desire to achieve excellence make him a valuable asset to The Lee Company.

Sara Thulin (Office Manager)

Sara was born and raised in Miami, Oklahoma, and she has made Stillwater her home since moving here for college in 2005. Sara graduated from Oklahoma State University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English in 2007, and began working for The Lee Company as the Office Manager shortly thereafter. She and her husband Jared, who is an Auditor with the Office of the State Auditor and Inspector, enjoy spending time with their family and two Yorkies, JD and Turk. They also enjoy traveling and watching sports, especially Oklahoma City Thunder basketball games.

Tara Roberts (Receiving Manager)

Tara Roberts is a lifetime resident of the Stillwater area. She has been with The Lee Company since November of 2008. After graduating from Glencoe High School, Tara continued her education at Meridian Technology Center in the accounting field. As the Receiving Clerk for The Lee Company, Tara's fast-paced, organized nature and attention to detail allow her to oversee the products coming in and out the company. Tara and her husband, Jason, have two boys, Dalten and Keegan. As a family, they enjoy camping, fishing, and going to car shows and drag strips.

Bill Haines (Quote Specialist)

Bill was born and raised in Ponca City, Oklahoma, and now makes his home in Cushing with his wife, Amanda, an elementary school teacher. Bill started with The Lee Company in December of 2008, as the Residential Sales Manager. Because of his years of experience in sales and marketing and his education in business, Bill was moved to the Quote Specialist position in May of 2011, where he oversees the entire residential quoting process from start to finish. Previously, Bill studied Business Administration at Northern Oklahoma College and was a Personnel Administration Specialist in the United States Army. Bill enjoys being active in his church and spending time with his wife and three children, Ashley, Brennan, and Cale, and their two Shih Tzus, Cooper and Clyde.

Brad Burnett (Commercial Service Manager)

Brad was born and raised in Overland Park, Kansas. He moved to Stillwater in 2001. Brad has been a Commercial Service Technician with The Lee Company since January of 2006 and he was recently promoted to Service Manager for the Commercial Department. He has trained extensively in our automatic door area and is a Trained Mechanic for Record Automatic Hardware. His extensive experience in the field and his product knowledge are key componenets to allowing him to step into this supervisory role. He enjoys sleeping, working on automobiles and spending time with his son, Brad.

Jacob "Jake" Moffat (Residential Manager)

Jake was born and raised in Perkins, Oklahoma, and worked for his father at their family-owned feed store for 22 years. He has also trained at Meridian Technology Center in their welding department and has an American Welding Society Bridge and Structural Certification and an Oklahoma Steam Card. Jake loves spending time with "his girls", wife Trish and daughter Isabella. As a family, they enjoy spending time taking care of their animals and are active with their church. Jake also enjoys writing and playing music. He and his band (Jake Moffat Band) enjoy doing shows across Oklahoma and Texas.

Jason Wood (Outside Sales Representative)

Jason grew up in Wheeler, Texas, and moved to Elk City, Oklahoma, in high school. He has a Secondary Education degree from Oklahoma State University and an Associate Degree in Metallurgy and Gunsmithing from Trinidad State College. He enjoys the people that he works with at The Lee Company, and believes that the good relationships he has built in Stillwater through his church, Sunnybrook Christian and his community involvement will be a great asset to the team. His hobbies include spending time with his family, fixing things, and being a Stillwater Youth Football coach. He enjoys teaching young people the importance of discipline, enthusiasm, and relying on each other for support. His family includes his wife Ellen, daughter Ainsley, son Carter and two high-maintenance Border Collies, Baylie and Cate. If you are building a new home in the area, Jason is the guy to talk to.

Julie Montgomery (Retail Sales Assistant)

Julie Montgomery comes to us from Lakeland, Florida. Her high attention to detail and organization have been a great asset to The Lee Company. Her outgoing personality helps us create an inviting and sunny atmosphere for clients and staff alike. She and her husband, Dr. Brad Montgomery, who is originally from Lawton, Oklahoma, met in Florida while he was there attending school. They relocated to Stillwater to be closer to family and to be a part of Mosaic Community Church, where they both serve as youth pastors. They have three children, Jaeden, Kaeden, and Ava. In her free time, Julie enjoys scrapbooking, working out, and being with her family.

Chad Sweatt (Retail Sales Associate)

Chad hails from Southfield, Michigan, where he lived most of his life. He moved to Stillwater two years ago with his wife, Stephanie, who is a professor and researcher at Oklahoma State University. Chad holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology, as well as a Master of Science Degree in Clincal Psychology. He has over five years of extensive sales and customer service experience and enjoys the friendly, professional environment offered by The Lee Company. Chad loves spending time with his family, cooking, watching sports, and music. He and his wife have two spoiled Boston Terriers, Jasper and Madelyn, and are expecting their first child in April.

Emily Britton (Commercial Product Manager)

Emily comes to us from Derby, Kansas. She moved to Stillwater to attend school, and is currently earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Construction Management Technology at Oklahoma State University. She has been with the Lee Company since November 2011 as the Commercial Office Assistant/Product Manager. Her attention to detail, self-motivation, and ability to learn quickly have been key aspects to her success with the company. She enjoys that The Lee Company offers a self-paced, friendly atmosphere, and room for personal growth as well as professional growth. In her free time, Emily enjoys watching TV and movies, spending time with her family, reading, bowling and knitting. She also enjoys caring for her Beta fish, Paupie.
